Exposition: Santiago Torres le Musée de HErbe, Paris
As part of the exhibition and Op! Grass in the Museum welcomes the work of Santiago Torres for a month with his installation made from touch screens.
In the line of movement of kinetic art - art movement - he has created interactive works between geometric abstractions and technical innovations.
With a simple touch of the finger image is changing and the work becomes another. Children will surely enjoy the view change to suit their will.
Spotted by the Galerie Denise René, the "boy genius" of kinetic art, exhibited for the first time in a museum dedicated to children. The principle of art is, he says, to "show a profit while letting the public participate," he likes even more watch the reaction of younger face to his works. "They are, he says more spontaneous and more intellectually free".
Immersed from an early age in the art of 3D and hyper-realism, he has two models, his father the same artist, and Kasimir Malevich. Self-educated and forward-thinking, he worked for 5 years on touch pads designed it to himself, no computer classes.
"We create the work but continues to be the same," this is how it describes its unique and playful. But what he likes best is to move away from its "kinetic paintings" to return a little later and see the change in shape and color, he likes to think that someone has the touch after him.
Starting tomorrow, there will be a month to do what he pleased.
Real-time frame of Santiago Torres from May 17 to June 10, 2012.
